The Equinix data centres are strategically located to optimize performance. ME1 has only recently finished construction of its phase 1 plan, with additional land that has been acquired to accommodate future expansion. By implementing it’s global processes, Equinix can ensure that the centre has operational excellence.
- 54 operations staff in Australia.
- UPS systems are Emerson Chloride Trinergy UPS units that offer the highest efficiency for a double conversion UPS
- The generators will start automatically on detection of mains failure and will be ready to receive load within 20 seconds
- Smart hands available both during and after business hours
- Minimum 2 staff on-site at ME1 at any point in time
- Fortnightly generator tests, alternating load/no-load conditions
- 700 rack capacity
